Cook Islands Map

THE Cook Islands is an island nation in the heart of the South Pacific Ocean with Samoa, Tokelau and Niue to the west and French Polynesia (Tahiti) to the east. The map illustrates how the Cook Islands - or ' the Cooks ' as it is often called - comprises many islands and atolls, which are diversely scattered over an immense area of ocean north of the Tropic of Capricorn (latitude from 9-22 degrees south of the Equator). The most famous destinations are Rarotonga (the capital island) and Aitutaki.
